Robin Team

Managing Partner

Robin is a respected leader in the real estate industry across North Carolina, in reputation and business practice, with a 40-year history of development and investment syndication. Robin has developed or acquired over $900 million in income-producing assets and holds a current portfolio of active ownership and/or management of over $500 million in assets. Robin’s expertise includes institutional-style office, health care, and industrial assets with clients ranging from Fortune 500 corporations to local business owners. A native of Lexington, North Carolina, Robin is a graduate of Wake Forest University with a degree in Business Administration.

Matt McInnis


Matt joined Front Street Capital in early 2018 and oversees fund operations, investor management and coordinates capital sourcing for all development and acquisition transactions. Prior to joining Front Street Capital, Matt spent over 10 years in the banking sector as a Commercial Relationship Manager with SunTrust Bank in Washington, DC and as the Chief Strategy Officer for High Point Bank and Trust Company in High Point, NC. Matt graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Economics and received an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Jonathan Starnes


Jonathan provides a wealth of knowledge having over 25 years of real estate, management, and financial experience for Front Street Capital.  He joined Front Street Capital (previously Carolina Investment Properties) in 2003 to manage and develop the asset management division of the company. Prior to joining Carolina Investment Properties, he gained valuable experience as a Project Manager, Project Controller and Financial Consultant for Wachovia Corporation.  He also successfully managed Alpha Group Consultants offering financial and strategic consulting for small businesses.  He holds a Business Administration degree from the Cameron School of Business at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and completed Cornell University SC Johnson College of Business Commercial Real Estate Executive program and Wake Forest University School of Business Leadership Executive program.

Lori Starnes


Lori brings over 25 years of industry experience to Front Street Capital, leading the execution of asset management services. Prior to joining the firm, Lori was the Director of Asset Services for CBRE Triad, where she oversaw a team responsible for over 5 million square feet of office, industrial and retail assignments. Earlier in her career, she gained valuable experience as a Real Estate Manager and Leasing Agent for FRI Investors, managing a portfolio of 815,000 square feet of office and industrial space. Prior to that, she served as Assistant Asset Director and Real Estate Manager for Highwoods Properties Triad Division. Lori graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

Alston Team


Alston has more than 10 years of experience in the real estate industry specializing in the development and project management of industrial and office assets. He started his development career in Newport Beach, CA with LNR Commercial Property Group where he was part of a project management team that developed a master planned 2,400 acre industrial park in the Inland Empire of California. Alston focused his efforts in the underwriting, planning, and both horizontal and vertical development of the park. After transitioning back to his North Carolina roots, he joined Carolina Investment Properties as a Project Manager and has overseen the construction of roughly 1.5 million square feet of office and industrial development. Alston graduated from Elon University with a degree in Business Administration.

Coleman Team


Coleman is a co-founder and general partner of Front Street’s private equity platform and has spent his entire career as a real estate entrepreneur starting several businesses in the brokerage, development, and investment practices of commercial real estate. With 15 years of diverse industry experience, Coleman serves in various capacities for Front Street including all development related activities, portfolio and investment management, raising capital, deal sourcing, and investor relations. Coleman earned a BS from the Wake Forest University Schools of Business and also completed Harvard Business School’s Executive Education program for Real Estate Management.

Claire Devon


Claire joined Front Street Capital in 2023 and aids in the sourcing, underwriting, and execution of real estate investments on behalf of the fund as well as the operational management of all development, acquisitions, and disposition transactions. Claire comes to Front Street from a commercial brokerage background where she helped lead Foundry Commercial’s office tenant advisory team in Charlotte. While at Foundry, Claire represented clients in over 2.5 million SF of transactions, including build-to-suit, corporate headquarter relocations, and speculative new construction projects totaling over $200 million in lease consideration. Originally from Greensboro, NC, Claire graduated from Wake Forest University with a degree in Real Estate Finance.
